Welcome to the Central Florida Society of Optometric Physicians Website!

Thank you for your interest about the CFSOP.  Together with the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association we have built a group of unified Optometrists who are working together to advance the profession of optometry through education, professional development and public policy advocacy.

 

Our non-profit organization was incorporated in 1981 to fulfill numerous needs in our profession and our community.  Optometry is a profession that has seen sizable expansion in its scope and numbers over the last few decades.  The modern optometrist is responsible for more than the patient’s visual needs.  He or she must examine, diagnose, treat and manage diseases and disorders of the visual system, the eye and associated structures as well as search for related systemic conditions.

 

The CFSOP works diligently with the community and the public to promote eye care and eye health. Our contributions have helped numerous individuals, local societies, and local businesses with their eye care needs. 

 

The CFSOP is the only voice that speaks for optometry in Central Florida and the only force that works to protect the interests of optometrists and their patients.
